Tom, I just tested the current slideshow implementation of upcoming v 2.0 with a playlist that grabs a local image that is changing periodically like a webcam, and is not working because of internal optimization, but I will look into this matter (although is very specific and rare...). However, I can't promise it will work (perhaps I'll find a simple solution that will not break optimization?...)

This does almost exactly what I want, but lacks one feature. I want to be able to refresh a local image like with an internet image. I want to use it to show my most current weathercam image, which is periodically stored in a file on my computer. Perhaps with v2, I will be able to make a slideshow naming two images that are the same file and that will cause it to refresh?

love it! Is there a way to use this for multiple images? I'd love to have two or three images I could put on my desktop!

About 2.0... hum... What can I say? I'm really busy at work, It's almost christmas time, and the clients are crowding at the doors... That leaves me practically no time for widgets developing right now. Also, I understand that there is a new version of the engine, which I did not test it, it may introduce unwanted behaviours, so this will pu…sh the deadline further more...
